You Ate What?!

Growing up my parents taught us to eat everything (much to my dad's disappointment when it came to seafood and portions). This has often led to my friends pulling faces and asking "You ate what?!" Doubting this behaviour will stop any-time soon and Africa being renown for it's "exotic" cuisine, it was deemed necessary to compile a list of the various meals which induces this reaction throughout the trip!

  1. Sheep's Head ("Smiley") - although consumed pre-trip, the wonderful reactions inspired this section and it gets an honourable mention as such!
    • Best part: the cheeks
    • Best way to consume it: with a sturdy pocketknife and some great friends (make sure you get your own head - I don't share!)
  2. Mopanie Worms
    • Best part: they're crunchy!
    • Best way to prepare: fried in a bit of oil with some onions, tomato and salt as a snack
